There is a volunteer opportunity this coming Saturday for Compassion Weekend. The weekend consists of multiple hands-on projects (landscaping, construction, remodeling, etc.) at sites across the Bay Area. There are many exicting projects this year, but the one that we'd like to invite you all to participate in is at Bayshore Christian Ministries, a youth ministry in East Palo Alto. Here's a blurb from the project site: Help us expand the way we serve East Palo Alto Youth. We will have many different family friendly projects. Painting classrooms, landscaping the citrus orchard, building benches, installing tetherball poles, preparing space for a future dance studio are just a few of the activities we will complete. Our goal is to enhance our space to accommodate new programming. Work alongside our youth and families as we keep BCM looking its best! Time: Project work from 7:45 AM-12:00 PM on Saturday 4/27. Oikos will kick-off a six week study of "The Purpose Driven Life" by Rick Warren this Saturday, April 13, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. starting with a delicious pasta dinner. The subsequent five sessions will take place on Sundays during fellowship from approximately 3:00 to 4:15 p.m. starting on Sunday, April 21st and ending Sunday, May 19th. Babysitting will be provided for all six sessions. A study guide will be provided for each individual but the daily readings will come from the book, "The Purpose Driven Life." Let's pray for God to prepare our hearts as we begin this discipleship training chosen especially for our Oikos core members to do together as couples! See you there!

The Lord is Risen! Join us as we participate in Easter worship and baptism service! It will be followed by a special lunch fellowship, as well as an Easter egg hunt for children.

The Campus A2 groups and L.I.F.E.'s annual Spring Retreat will be held at Mount Hermon in Santa Cruz from Friday, April 5th though Sunday, April 7th.
